Who processes donations on CrowdRise?

We understand how important financial security is to your organization. That’s why CrowdRise partners with two of the leading payment processors, PayPal Giving Fund and WePay, to process all monetary transactions on the platform.

PayPal Giving Fund is a Donor Advised Fund that uses PayPal payment technology to deliver donations to nonprofits via check or direct deposit. PayPal Giving Fund is the default payment processor on CrowdRise.


WePay is an online payment service provider that processes donations by Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) directly to an organization’s bank account on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

PayPal Giving Fund is an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) public charity (Federal Tax ID: 45-0931286). They are a Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance accredited charity who meets all of the BBB standards for charity accountability.
