The Fund the Shelters Challenge runs April 9 - May 9, 2019, and there are two ways for competing groups to win prize money from Michelson Found Animals.
First, the top six (6) groups that raise the most money during the Challenge will be rewarded with cash grants totaling $135,000.
Second, there are weekly Bonus Challenges totaling $65,000, which are designed to encourage groups’ participation throughout the month-long Challenge and gives all organizations a chance to win money.

5th - $10,000
6th - $5,000
Plus, Bonus Challenge prizes totaling - $65,000
This Challenge is open to animal welfare organizations dedicated to keeping companion pets out of shelters and in loving homes. See below for complete eligibility guidelines.
The Challenge launches on April 9th, 2019 at 12:00 pm ET. Please fill out this short application, so that you can get entered into the competition. Michelson Found Animals will review your participant application and then CrowdRise will get back to you to let you know whether or not you have been approved to participate.
Once approved, we'll also get you some next steps and a few easy starter tools to get you going. We help you every step of the way including a handy toolkit filled with sample messaging, webinars, email content, social media content, press releases, tips, 24/7 support and more.
Shelters and nonprofits with an annual operating budget between $25,000-$20,000,000 qualify for participation.
