CrowdRise by GoFundMe Announces 2018 Holiday Challenge

Redwood City, CA | October 18, 2018 -- CrowdRise by GoFundMe, the world’s largest social fundraising platform dedicated to nonprofits, today announces its annual Holiday Challenge, a fundraising competition for charities. GoFundMe is supporting the nonprofit community served by CrowdRise with $300,000 in competition prize funds. The annual fundraising competition engages charity participants by turning donors into fundraisers while leveraging peer-to-peer fundraising to amplify charitable giving efforts

The competition launches on Monday, November 26 allowing charities to engage with donors and enlist their support ahead of #GivingTuesday, one of the largest international days of giving. The challenge will run throughout the holiday season, concluding on January 2, to encourage donors to continue giving back.

As part of the Challenge, charities are eligible to win several cash prizes totaling up to $300,000 in prize funds.

The organization that raises the most funds on the CrowdRise platform during the challenge period secures first place and will win $100,000. Charities have the chance to win additional prizes, ranging from $2,500 to $35,000, throughout the Challenge period.

Featuring best-in-industry social sharing capabilities and flexible, mobile-responsive design, the CrowdRise by GoFundMe platform is optimized to help nonprofits and individuals who fundraise on their behalf to reach new audiences, while engaging communities and donors more efficiently and effectively to reach fundraising goals.
