5 ways to crush your next charity event

on September 14, 2017

At CrowdRise, we know charity events take a lot of time, resources, and energy. That’s why we created an awesome activity book thing with some ideas for modernizing your event so that you can focus more on what really matters, raising money for your cause. Here’s some of the stuff we’ll cover....

New Call-to-action

  1. Ticketing & registration

Have you thought about capturing donations and shares during ticketing and registration? This is the first point that a supporter is showing interest in your event so don’t let them go without asking them to give and share.

  1. Going #BeyondTheDonation

Are you optimized to allow your donors to share with their network about your cause and encourage donations and shares? If you give your supporters the opportunity to tell your story in their own way, it becomes a personal narrative for them that's much more powerful when told to their network of family and friends.

  1. Data integrations

Gathering data is a major bonus of running these events. Capturing new donor information, and gaining real-time insight into donor behavior is a key component to running a successful event...and every event following.

  1. Brand consistency

Sometimes when nonprofits run their event they lose sight over the consistency of their brand and their brand mission. Make sure your imagery, tone, and storyline are consistent across all forms of messaging.

  1. Make it fun. Really fun.

Your event participants love your cause and are there to show their support. Use gamification and incentives to fuel some healthy competition and rally support. Give them the opportunity to donate and share, but don’t forget to make it fun.

For  a whole lot more on how you can use these ideas to crush your next event, download our free fundraising event eActivityBook. You’ll find everything you need to make your next event super successful, and you might also find a word jumble or a maze. It'll be the least boring eBook you'll ever read. For real.
