3 reasons why you should post a campaign update at the end of the year

End-of-year giving is such a crucial moment in a nonprofit’s annual fundraising strategy. We know this isn’t anything new or revolutionary. But it’s definitely all the more reason to send a campaign update towards the end of the year.

We’ve got three pretty decent reasons why you should be using the campaign update tool one more time before the end of 2017.

1. It’s so easy

Posting a campaign update is really, really easy. Like ramen easy. All you have to do is sign into your account and post an update on any campaign you ran this year. That update will land directly in the inboxes of everyone who donated to that campaign.

It’s a great way to recap how your current campaign is going or how a previous campaign ended up. Because Google, Yahoo, and other email providers see campaign updates in a good light and therefore, 93% (very good) of the time, they’re delivered to your supporters primary inbox instead of the hidden promotional tab.

We’ve also found that, on average, 64% of those who receive a campaign update in their inbox, actually open it. That’s an incredibly high open rate and it’s all because they’re already familiar with and invested in your campaign.
